“Beautiful things, beautifully made”

Baltistny is a small family business based out of NYC. We started during the pandemic, bringing handmade knitted clothes made from women workers, our family and friends in Turkey, to our family and friends in the USA.  We have expanded to working with a small family-owned factory using plant dyes in India, and are currently developing a line of undyed, naturally colored cotton products from Peru.

Our central tenets are:
-fairly treat all involved with making our products
-create products with minimal impact to the environment
-ensure any animals involved in our products are treated humanely
-create products which are inclusive, built to last, and beautiful
-accurately and thoroughly present our products to you, the customer, so you never feel misinformed or uninformed

We will not be creating cheap clothes only meant to be worn for a short period of time and then thrown away. We will move slowly, carefully, and with intention. We welcome your input, and hope you will join us.
